Drake Medox in conjunction with Uniting Church Homes are recruiting a large volume of Community Support Workers to work for Uniting Community Care.

Uniting Community Care provides community based care programs that assist our aged clients to continue to live independently in their own homes. Renowned for our commitment to the delivery of person centred care and best practice in relation to the provision of quality care, you will be working in a supportive and resourced environment that positively encourages initiative and leadership.

These roles are permanent part-time with the opportunity to work up to 75 hours per fortnight. UCC requires staff from Rockingham to Joondalup with a variety of rosters available.

Ideally, suitable applicants will have:

  • Minimum of Certificate 3 in Aged Care (desirable but not essential)
  • Experience in Aged Care or experience nursing a relative
  • Exposure to safety in the workplace (desirable)
  • Attitude that demonstrates empathy, care and appropriate interaction with elderly people
  • Essential is the ability to keep information confidential together with managing time and being able to make care decisions alone if necessary
  • Physical fitness for possible lifting with appropriate assistance
  • Current police clearance or the ability to apply for one and current driver’s licence
